Her research interests focus on different methodological aspects of clinical research and on the application of statistical methods to observational and experimental studies. She participates as an expert of statistical and epidemiological issues in several clinical research projects. In the last years her research interests concentrated mainly on pharmacoepidemiological methods and study designs and on the use of electronic databases for the conduction of pharmacoepidemiological investigations.
Currently she participates for the University of Milan-Bicocca in two collaborative pharmacoepidemiological projects funded by the European Union (SOS Project: Safety Of non-Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, SAFEGUARD Project: Safety Evaluation of Adverse Reactions in Diabetes).
She is a reviewer for several international journals, such as: International Journal of Epidemiology, Annals of oncology, etc… Moreover, she is Consulting Editor of BioMedical Statistics and Clinical Epidemiology, the official journal of the Italian Society of Medical Statistics and Clinical Epidemiology (SISMEC – Società Italiana Epidemiologia Clinica).
