Short presentation of current research
Previous and Current research
My interest in medical research started in 2007. My work at that time focused on the field of obstetrics and hematology, in particular my research was primarily concerned with the study of the etiology of postpartum hemorrhage.
My interest moved toward epidemiology of cancer and other chronic diseases once I moved to the Urological Research Institute of Milan. I have been involved in analyzing data on Prostate and Bladder cancer.
Since joining the Unit of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Public Health of the University of Milano-Bicocca I have developed other research interests in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemilogy. At present, the major theme of my research is within the field of mental disorders. The general aim of my projects is to investigate in detail the relationship between risk factors and prognosis in a populations-based study of mental health care in the Italian Lombardy Region.
